Perfumer H is I think what Le Labo used to be. The understated branding and quality product that give a bit of that iykyk edge. The nose behind the brand is Lyn Harris, who trained in Grasse and cofounder Miller Harris before launching Perfumer H. There’s a few shops around London (as well as one in Paris and one in Taipei). Each boutique feels like walking into the closet of someone who exudes quiet chic.

The collection of perfume has range. A little something for anyone. While Rain Cloud was tempting, I gravitated toward Rhubarb. A fresh green fragrance that smells like the first day of spring, when it is just starting to warm enough for trees to start budding, the rain carrying hope for flowers, a slight woody and citrusy sweetness that feels perfect to wear on a grey day.
