Japan actually isn’t much of a fragrance destination. And generally the perfumes skew more light, floral. Ahres is a beauty brand that has make up, skincare, and a collection of perfumes. I stopped by the shop on Cat Street in Omotesando which felt like walking into a display case. All of their scents felt light, delicate.

Zero is a powdery floral with iris and neroli, warmed up with tonka and amber. I usually don’t gravitate to powdery scents but this one is like a skin scent that sits light and dries down consistently. It’s a good one for layering, and adding depth to fresh scents.
